About Me
My name is Antonio Antenucci, I’m a recent journalism graduate from The University at Albany.
I was born and raised in New York City, which has developed a burning passion of baseball in me, as well as a deep appreciation of the game’s history. I have wanted to be a sports journalist since I was about 11 and first got cable and could watch sports 24/7.
I have a love for all types of journalism, not only sports. It would be a dream to be a full time journalist in whatever field of journalism I pursue post graduation, sports, politics, hard news, features, music, crime beat, anything.
My favorite job thus far has been my internship for Metro New York newspaper in Manhattan. I had the opportunity to cover and write articles on my own, and gain valuable field experience. I got to do fascinating stories such as a one-on-one interview with Yankee pitcher Joba Chamberlain to doing a feature Q&A story on a street performer named THOTH. I also got the incredible opportunity to interview players such as Hall of Famer’s Frank Robinson, Mike Schmidt, Bob Gibson. As well as All Star’s Albert Pujols, Francisco Rodriguez, Chipper Jones, Kevin Youkilis, Josh Hamilton, Ryan Braun, Brad Lidge, Kerry Wood, Brandon Webb, Dioner Navarro, among others. I was able to have around 30 articles published for the paper, do an Olympic history feature for the paper’s daily Olympic coverage, and do many man on the street interviews. The amount I learned from my editors and the experienced journalists has helped me become a much improved journalist.
